Continuation: 6 Tips To Minimizing Distractions And Getting More Done
Tip 4 – Divide your projects into tasks.
Looking at a large project as a task that must be completed all at once can be overwhelming; it can create loopholes that allow distractions to enter.
To avoid this, divide your project into simple bites, and then into smaller and more manageable tasks that can be completed in less time.
As you complete one mini-task after another, you will feel more inspired and focused.
Tip 5- Work with productive people.
Working with people who are focused and driven by productivity is another way to avoid distractions.
Aside from finding the motivation to keep working, the likelihood of unnecessary distractions is low.
Find this person or people and surround yourself with them to get the work done.
6. Get Enough Sleep
When you are well-rested, you maintain your focus and work more efficiently. At least 30mins before going to bed (experts say an hour, however I find it near impossible) avoid watching TV, checking text messages or social media, and playing any online or video games.
Your body needs the restorative stages of deep sleep. Sleeping will provide you with energy to maintain focus during the day’s activities.
It is important to note that your time is your most limited resource, and what you do with it is key to simplifying your life and making space for the things you want to do, not just what you have to do.
